New Jefferson County Jail Completion Date Delayed

Ground was broke on the facility in 2021

                                       

THE ANTICIPATED COMPLETION DATE FOR THE NEW JEFFERSON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE CENTER IS BEING PUSHED BACK.

THE 300 BED, 45 MILLION DOLLAR FACILITY WAS SUPPOSE TO OPEN IN JULY BUT NOW THE COMPLETION DATE IS EXPECTED LATE SUMMER.

THIS IS TO MAKE CERTAIN ALL SOFTWARE AND SECURITY IS WORKING PROPERLY BEFORE INMATES ARE MOVED INTO THE FACILITY
