Plans are to open by the end of the year
One of the faster growing coffee chains in the U.S. is planning to locate in Madison and Madison Plan Commission on Monday approved site plans and setbacks for a Scooter’s Coffee Drive-Thru to be built on the current Heitz Car Wash site at 335 Clifty Drive
there will be no seating or service inside the building but the site will require eight parking spaces for staff — including one that is ADA accessible — and space for about 18 vehicles being serviced in the drive through lane.
The closest Scooter’s franchise to Madison currently is in eastern part of Louisville . However, a franchise is currently under construction in New Castle, Indiana, and the company is currently working on five of six projects in Indiana.
Scooter’s is based in Nebraska and was established in 1998 and now has more than 300 franchises in the U.S. In addition to various coffee drinks, the outlets also sell sandwiches and pastry products consistent with that found in many coffee shops.
