Nationwide Test Set For This Afternoon

For cellphones as well as on air

Emergency Services doesn't want you to panic when you get a loud emergency alert today. 

At exactly 2:18 this afternoon, the first-ever test from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Communications Commission. 

The nationwide test is designed to check the ability of cellphones and other wireless devices to receive a Presidential Alert.

A second test will occur at 2:20 over the air.
