Moon, Kentucky Celebrates 50th Anniversary Of Moon Landing

Celebrate with a RC and a Moon Pie

The town of Moon, Kentucky is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing. 

The small Morgan County community will be the site of a festival this weekend honoring the historic event. 

The West Liberty Kiwanis Club will be selling souvenir Moon rocks and t-shirts at Betty Rigsby Grocery on Saturday. 

The first 250 people will also get a free Moon Pie and RC Cola. 

Funds raised will go back to the club for community projects.
