Milton Woman Arrested For Intimidation

Road Rage Incident Led to Arrest

May 7, 2022, Madison Police arrested Amber R. Horton 41, Milton, Kentucky, for Intimidation with a deadly weapon L-5 felony and possession of methamphetamine L-5 felony.

Madison Police Patrolman Trent Smith responded to a report of road rage in the area of West and Main Streets.  The complainant reported being involved in a verbal argument with another driver. After exchanging unpleasantries, the complainant reported the other driver, later identified as Amber Horton, pulled out a handgun and pointed it at her, 

Patrolman Trent Smith located the suspect vehicle, a short time later, in the area of Cragmont and Third Streets. The vehicle was occupied by Horton, and a male passenger. Once securing Horton and the passenger, Officers located a loaded semi automatic handgun in Horton's vehicle.  After additional follow-up, Horton was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jefferson County Jail where she faces the above alleged charges. 

In addition to the weapon, Horton was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  

All charges are alleged and Amber R. Horton has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.  Captain Dan Slygh assisted Officer Smith with the investigation and subsequent arrest.
