Man Wanted in Jennings, Ripley Counties Taken Into Custody

An arrest was made after a two-hour standoff last Thursday.

(Jennings County, Ind.) - Jennings County deputies were called to a home in the 5300 block of North County Road 750 East last Thursday in an attempt locate Jason Daugherty. 

Daugherty, of Butlerville, was wanted on felony warrants in Jennings County and a warrant through Ripley County. 

While trying to make contact with Daugherty, he allegedly refused to come to the door and after a two-hour standoff, Jennings County SWAT made entry into the residence and Daugherty was taken into custody. 

He is currently housed in the Jennings County Jail on the warrants, as well as a new charge of Resisting Law Enforcement. 

No further information has been provided.
