Liquid Process to Begin Monday along with keeping crews safe

CITY OF MADISON OFFICIALS ARE ADJUSTING THEIR PLAN FOR THE MAIN STREET HIGHWAY PAVING PROJECT AFTER AN INITIAL EFFORT TO KEEP TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIANS OUT OF THE WORK AREA PROVED UNSUCESSFUL MOTORISTS ARE COMPLETLY IGNORING SIGNS AND BARRICADES WHICH PUTS WORKERS IN DANGER SO THE PLAN IS TO CLOSE SMALLER SECTIONS OF THE ROADWAY TO MOVE THE PROJECT ALONG FASTER. THE ROADWAY WILL BE BLOCKED OFF IN TWO BLOCK SECTIONS WITH THE ROADWAYS AND ALLEYS AJOINING MAIN STREET TO BE CLOSED, ALONG WITH THAT THE LIQUID ROAD APPLICATION FOR THE MAIN STREET PROJECT IS SCHEDULED TO GET UNDERWAY THIS UPCOMING MONDAY SEPTEMBER 13TH,DURING THE HOURS OF 7 AM TO 7 PM DAILY THE SIDEWALKS IN THE BLOCKED OFF SECTIONS WILL REMAIN OPEN BUT PEDESTRIANS SHOULD NOT CROSS THE STREET WITHIN THE WORK AREA, WORKERS WILL BE ENFORCING THE CLOSURE AND SIGNAGE WILL BE POSTED.
