Main Street crash ends with Madison man in jail

On February 25, 2023, Jefferson County Central Dispatch received a report of an overturned vehicle with occupants still inside in the 300 block of West Main Street in Madison.

Deputy Cameron Napier arrived on scene and located a 28-year-old male driver and one passenger. Both were out of the vehicle.

Deputy Napier conducted an operating while intoxicated investigation and found the driver to be under the influence. He was taken into custody and transported to Norton King’s Daughter’s Hospital for a blood draw and medical evaluation.

Deputy Devlin McMindes conducted an inventory search of the vehicle prior to towing. Deputy McMindes located methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

The driver Johnathon Kyle Grayson was remanded to the custody of the Jefferson County Jail on the following charges:

Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 6 Felony)

Operating While Intoxicated- Endangerment (Class A

Misdemeanor)

Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor)

Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor)
