Assuming ownership of a retail business on Main Street
Madison Main Street Executive Director Victoria Perry is resigning, effective June 15, the Main Street board of directors announced today. Perry, who has led the organization since April 2017, will be assuming ownership of a retail business on Main Street.
“Victoria will be greatly missed,” said Valecia Crisafulli, board president. “She has added diverse strengths and talents to the organization, as well as positive energy and great passion for Madison. Even though we are losing an executive director, we are gaining a new shop owner with a merchandising background and strong commitment to Main Street.”
Perry will announce her new business at a later date. Family commitments to three young children also played a role in her decision.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as the Executive Director of the Madison Main Street Program,” Perry said, “and I am proud of all that we have accomplished. Over the past two years, we have seen a dramatic decrease in the vacancy rate of the downtown commercial district, a large influx of new businesses, record high event attendance, and have collaborated on several exciting new projects. It has been a great two years, and I am sad to be leaving but excited to begin a new venture.”
