The Award is the highest honor alumni can receive

Madison resident Stacy Crawley has been honored by the Ivy Tech Foundation as part of its annual Distinguished Alumni Awards programs.

Each year since 1998, the Foundation has celebrated the success of Ivy Tech Community College alumni by recognizing graduates who have made a lasting, positive contribution to the community, state or College since completing their education. The Award is the highest honor alumni can receive and is designated for individuals with outstanding professional, philanthropic or volunteer accomplishments. Crawley is one of 19 recipients this year.

Crawley received a Technical Certificate in Administrative Office Technology from Ivy Tech in 1995. She serves as the office manager at Crawley Heating and Cooling, LLC, a business she co-owns with her husband, John; is an active member of Ivy Tech’s women’s philanthropy circle, Circle of Ivy, the Women’s Giving Circle, Madison Area Chamber of Commerce, the Human Resources Association of Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky, the Healthy Communities Initiative of Jefferson County,; and serves as President of the Madison Area Bicycle Club and treasurer of the MOVE Running Club.

In addition, Crawley is a John Maxwell certified coach, speaker, and trainer; coached the Madison High School Swim team for nine years; and is fitness and nutrition coach. She has completed numerous marathons, a full Ironman triathlon, and several half marathons and half Ironman races.

“Stacy is a prime example of the impact an Ivy Tech graduate can make in a community. As a business owner and coach, Stacy teaches growth mindset strategies to positively impact our community workforce efforts, improve our business climate and change the lives of those she trains. I am grateful that Stacy values her Ivy Tech experience and that were able to honor her with this award,” said Molly Dodge, Chancellor.

“Our Distinguished Alumni honorees exemplify what makes Ivy Tech special,” said John M. Murphy, Ivy Tech Foundation President. “Over the years we have recognized more than 250 outstanding men and women for their contributions to their communities and success in their professional lives. We congratulate them for their efforts and we’re proud to call them part of the Ivy Tech family.”
