Madison Woman Pleads Guilty To Murder Charges

The incident took place in Marion County

                                                                        

A Madison woman that was charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder in connection with a knife attack that occured in May of 2020, accepted a plea deal just before her trial was set to begin in Marion Circuit Court.

Kristen L. Wolf of Madison had been accused of stabbing to death Victoria Cook and Dylan Dickover at an apartment in Indianapolis, in May of 2020, 24 year old Victoria Cook was pronounced deceased at the scene while 28 year old Dylan Dickover succumbed to his injuries later in the night at area hospital.

At the time of the attack Wolf was a Madison Correctional Facility officer at the time of the attack, she plead guilty under the plea agreement that was agreed upon she will serve 100 years at the Indiana Department of Corrections.

She could have faced the death penalty or a prison sentence between 45-65 years on the murder charges and 20-40 years on the attempted murder both are Level 1 felonies, she also faced battery by means of a deadly weapon a Level 5 felony.

Her jury trial was set begin when it was announced that she had accepted a plea bargain 

She has been incarcerated in Marion County since her arrest in early 2020

According to court documents the suspect left behind an article of clothing with an "Indiana Department of Correction" patch and a tag with the name "Wolf" 

Internal Affairs Investigation by IDOC matched a name with a person that worked at the Madison Correctional Facility 

Wolf was picked up from her job by police but denied being in Indianapolis on the date of the stabbing, a search of Wolf's home in Madison law enforcement found several combat style knives and uniforms with the exact patches that were found at the scene of the crime.

She was employed by Madison Correctional from 2014 until her arrest in early 2020, she was terminated based on allegations of criminal actions

Officials found a two page letter where she had written about what it would look like to kill someone, she also had written that she did not wanna kill anyone that she knew and that she wasn't planning to die but was prepared, she had attached the note to a will that was found that was dated for the day of the stabbing.
