The fire is still currently under investigation.

(Madison, Ind.) – On Tuesday, March 9 crews with Madison Township and Rykers Ridge Fire were dispatched to an apartment fire at the Clifton Heights Apartments.
Dispatch was advised of heavy black smoke was coming from the door of the apartment. It was advised that at least three neighbors helped get the victim out of the apartment moments before the fire department arrived on the scene.
According to Madison Township, Engine 41 was on scene within 4 minutes of the call, and the fire was brought under control within 24 minutes.
The victim was transported to KDH and then sent to the University of Louisville Hospital and is in stable condition.
The Indiana State Fire Investigator was requested due to a person being injured and to determine the cause of the fire. The fire is still currently under investigation.
