Area Merchants Need to Validate Currency

                                    

The Madison Police Department encourages merchants to closely check all paper money before accepting it, Jefferson County has seen an influx of counterfeit twenty-dollar bills.  Please take that extra moment to validate all currency received.  

If you have information regarding counterfeit activities, please contact the detective division of the Madison Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, or Hanover Police Department.
