MADISON POLICE ARREST SUSPECT IN ROAD RAGE INVESTIGATION

He was pointing a firearm at individuals

                                            

On January 14th, 2024, the Madison Police Department responded to a call of a male subject pointing a firearm at several individuals in a hilltop neighborhood. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located the suspect, Edward D. Meek, 24 y/o, of Jefferson County.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Meek was the aggressor of a road-rage situation which ultimately led to an armed confrontation. Meek was taken into custody and remanded to the Jefferson County Jail and is facing charges of Battery and Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon.

Meek has a presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law.
