Madison, Indiana (February 11, 2025) – Following recent actions to safeguard the assets and legacy of Miss Madison Inc. (MMI), Mayor Bob Courtney has officially announced the newly appointed board members who will oversee the organization’s financial and legal matters. The new MMI board consists of Mayor Bob Courtney, Andrew Forrester, Tony Steinhardt III, Tim Bipes and Kyle Bipes, who both serve on the Madison Regatta board of directors.

This restructuring follows concerns regarding unauthorized transactions and financial claims impacting MMI. “With this new leadership in place, we will work diligently to protect Miss Madison’s assets, thoroughly review financial claims, and uphold the integrity of this historic racing team,” said Mayor Courtney. “Our goal is to ensure that Miss Madison’s legacy remains strong for generations to come which is why I have appointed members with diverse backgrounds. I will appoint additional members as needed up to the maximum of nine members per the corporate by-laws.”

The board’s immediate focus is to assess all outstanding financial obligations, seek appropriate legal counsel, and take the necessary steps to preserve Miss Madison’s historic standing as the world’s longest-running community-owned hydroplane racing team.
