Madison Man Arrested On Escape Charge Along With Other Charges

March 28, 2022, at approximately 11:08 AM Madison Police responded to 1542 Clifty Drive, to assist Community Corrections with an escape.  The person in question was identified as Christopher L. Linboom 47, Madison, Indiana.  Linboom had reportedly removed his GPS tracking device which constitutes escape.  

Madison Police Patrolman Jared Sweet established communications with Linboom, who was upstairs in an apartment, barricaded, and refusing to comply.  Linboom stated to officers that he had a semi-automatic weapon, and indicated he would use it.   

After speaking with Linboom for approximately one hour, he complied with Officer Sweet's request, and surrendered himself without further incident.  

During the safety sweep of Linboom's apartment, officers located methamphetamine and a hypodermic needle.  No guns were found.  

Christopher L. Linboom faces preliminary alleged charges of Escape L-6 Felony, Intimidation L-5 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine L-6 Felony, Possession of a Hypodermic Needle L-6 Felony, and Resisting Law Enforcement Class A Misdemeanor.  

Linboom has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.  Sweet was assisted by Officers Seth Melton, Adam Guzman, Cody Lewis and Jordan Perry.
