January 15, 2022, at approximately 9:35 AM Madison Police arrested James C. McCarty 23, Madison, Indiana. McCarty was arrested following a traffic stop for false / fictitious registration. McCarty was found to have two active warrants for his arrest out of Switzerland County, and Scott County, Indiana.
In addition to the active warrants, McCarty faces local charges of possession of methamphetamine L-6 felony and possession of paraphernalia class "C" misdemeanor. McCarty was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, and paraphanailia during the subsequent search of his person / vehicle.
James McCarty has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty. Patrolman Trent Smith and his K-9 partner "Colt' assisted.
