(Madison, Ind.) – Yesterday, deputies with the City of Madison Police Department arrested 25-year-old Mario Johnson-Hollins on multiple charges.

At approximately 7:27 p.m. Madison Police Sr. Patrolman Dylan Barnes found Johnson-Hollins passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle, at the exit of the Speedway gas station.

Officer Barnes found Johnson-Hollins to be in possession of a handgun, which was located on Hollins’ lap with his finger on the trigger. Upon the arrival of Sergeant Shawn Scudder, and Patrolman Trent Smith, Johnson-Hollins was eventually taken into custody.

The handgun was found to be loaded, and his vehicle was in drive.

Mario Johnson-Hollis was transported to the Jefferson County Jail with the charges of possession of a firearm, dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana over 30 grams, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

In addition to the marijuana, officers seized U.S. currency, and paraphernalia as evidence.

All charges are preliminary, and Johnson-Hollins has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
