Week of March 17th

FREDRICA is a smart and outgoing girl. This is no surprise as she is an Australian Shepherd mix. Fredrica walks well on leash and is looking forward to learning new things. She listens well and tries to do what is asked of her. Fredrica likes other dogs, but she gets jealous when they are out of their kennel and she is not. She will bark in protest if another dog goes by her kennel door. Ask the shelter staff to test how Fredrica reacts to cats. She may be a bit too interested in them to have cats in her new home. Feathered livestock may be a no for her too. Fredrica is 2- to 3-years-old, weighs 40 lbs. and has a distinctive, tricolor, merle coat. Her adoption fee is $30 plus the cost of her spay and rabies vaccination.

ANDRE is a cool cat with a mellow and relaxed attitude. Not much bothers him. Andre loves to be lazy and will be found just relaxing in his cage. Picture Andre laying on a sofa, in a sunny window, or even snuggling in someone's lap.  Andrea will require a covered litter box since he likes to potty as close to the edge as possible. He is a 5- to 7-year-old male with brown Tabby fur. Andre had a gastrointestinal problem when he came to the shelter. That has been solved with a prescription diet, Royal Canin Gastrointestinal. Please keep Andre on this food or something similar. Andre is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and $45 to adopt.**

Foster homes are needed! The shelter is accepting applications to foster dogs and cats who are either pregnant/nursing, being treated for heartworm, or are recovering from other illness/injury and are not currently adoptable.
The shelter does not use foster homes for animals who are currently healthy and adoptable or who are on their stray hold as they need to be at the shelter for the public to meet/adopt/reclaim.
If interested, please be aware that any animal already in the foster home must be up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered. A home inspection will be completed by shelter staff and everyone in the foster home must agree to shelter guidelines.
The shelter pays for medical care and will supply food.

Applications can be picked up during business hours.
