Madison Fire Department Responds To Fire At VSG

Contained to one unit

The Madison Fire Department responded to Vehicle Services Group (VSG) for the initial report of a water flow alarm.

Moments after the initial dispatch it was upgraded to a working fire in the rear of Plant 1.

Upon arrival of the first fire units it was confirmed that a part of the air filtration system was involved. The fire was contained to that single unit.

The sprinkler system activated and limited the extent of damage. And the fire inside the unit was extinguished by MFD personnel.

The building was evacuated, the staff at VSG worked together with MFD personnel to throughly check the warehouse and roof areas for any fire extension and damage.
