Madison Fire Department Responded To Report of Fire Yesterday

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

(Madison, Ind.) - The City of Madison Fire and Police Departments were dispatched to a fire on the 2900 block of Woods Edge Drive shortly after 6 p.m. yesterday.

When crews arrived on the scene, they reported heavy smoke conditions visible from the street side and heavy fire on the southwest corner of the second floor of the home. The fire was contained 30 minutes after the call from dispatch.

Fire crews remained on scene for a few hours after to cool the hot spots and remove debris from the home. All occupants were able to exit the home from the residence without injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the City of Madison Fire Department.
