Madison City Councilman Dan Dattilo Declares Candidacy for Mayor of Madison

MADISON, INDIANA — Dan Dattilo, current Madison At-large City Councilman, has announced his intent to run for Mayor of the City of Madison. Dattilo’s campaign will focus on COMMUNITY, COMMITMENT, AND CHARACTER. His desire is to ensure a COMMUNITY that provides a safe and vibrant lifestyle for the citizens of Madison. His COMMITMENT to Madison is to improve economic and recreational activities for current and future generations. His CHARACTER is shown through his promotion of efficient and effective government and active citizenship.

During his announcement, Dattilo said, "I want to ensure the Madison of tomorrow is even better than the Madison of today... Then seven years ago, I was fortunate to be chosen as a city councilman at-large. Now, I'm ready to give more of my time for you and your family."

Dattilo chose to return to his hometown of Madison after graduating from college 29 years ago. He began his professional career in education, and has served both as a special education teacher and a high school guidance counselor. Dattilo is profoundly connected to the community, and he has served on numerous boards and with various philanthropic organizations. He has worked with two city administrations. Dattilo wants to ensure strength and viability for those working, living, and visiting in Madison.
