(Louisville, KY.) - A non-profit out of Louisville has found a way to provide kids with mail-order STEM projects to keep their minds working while they are at home.

Newton’s Attic now mailing out project kits for students and families to complete while school is closed. Each project is paired with both live and prerecorded online lessons to put your project together. Lessons are available on Newtown’s Attic YouTube channel.

For each session, the stream will be saved and immediately re-uploaded so any project kit can be completed at any time.

Kits include all supplies and materials needed for the project as well as full instructions on how to build the project. These projects also teach students and families about the physics and mechanics of the devices that are being used to complete the project as well.

Online sessions are conducted by Professional Engineer and Newton’s Attic founder Bill Cloyd.

These packages will cover a variety of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math topics. These projects allow students to have the opportunity to learn and discuss physical scientific principles with others their age along with adults, all while being hands-on.

The first live stream took place on March 23 and will remain available for those who order the kit in the future. The next project is available for order at the Newton’s Attic website.
