(Jefferson County, IN) - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O'Mara Contractors plans to reduce eastbound and westbound State Road 62 (Clifty Drive) to one lane beginning on or after Tuesday, April 9, to complete storm sewer and sidewalk installation work in Madison.

The planned lane closures will take place between Wilson Avenue and Michigan Road and are expected to remain in place until early November, weather permitting. One lane will remain open in both directions along S.R. 62, while work is in progress.

This work is part of a $12.3 million contract awarded to Dave O'Mara in November 2023. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
