Rockin’ on the River car show will go on

A group called, Honorable Sacred Knights of the Ku Klux Klan has reserved Jaycee Park on Vaughn Drive for a rally and cookout Saturday, Sept. 1. 

The Madison Parks Department confirmed to the Madison Courier, the group plans to be in the park from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Rockin’ on the River car show will go on as scheduled on Vaughn Drive.

The two events do not overlap. 

The Madison Police Department will be working with the group and the parks department to create a safety plan for the event.
