Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Collision

Crash remains under investigation

                         

Bedford, Ky. (09/19/2022) – On September 17, 2022 at approximately 11:00 a.m. Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg received a call in reference to a three(3) vehicle injury collision on US 42 in Bedford in Trimble County.  Troopers as well as other emergency personnel responded to the scene.

The preliminary investigation indicates a motorcycle lost control for a yet to determined reason.  The motorcycle struck the rear of a pickup before then crossing the centerline of the roadway and striking a minivan.

The operator of unit 1, identified as Robert Wilson a 46 year old male of Carrollton, was pronounced deceased while being transported to the hospital by ambulance.  Next of kin has been notified.

Kentucky State Police was assisted by Bedford Fire, Trimble County EMS, and the Henry County Coroner.

This is an ongoing investigation being investigated by Kentucky State Police Post 5.
