Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatal Collision in Carroll County

Crash remains under investigation

                                  

CARROLL COUNTY, Ky. (08/13/2024) – At approximately 12:04 am on Tuesday August 13, 2024 Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg received a call from Carroll County dispatch in reference to a single vehicle collision.  The collision occurred near the 44 mile marker on Interstate 71 in Carroll County.

Kentucky State Police Post 5 troopers responded to the scene.  The preliminary investigation indicates that William Davis of Pleasureville Kentucky was operating a 2005 Honda passenger car traveling south on Interstate 71 near the 44 mile marker.  For unknown reason(s) Mr. Davis lost control of the vehicle.  He exited off the roadway and struck a guardrail. 

The Carroll County Coroner pronounced Mr. Davis deceased on scene.  Next of kin has been notified.  This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by KSP Post 5.
