(Madison, Ind.) - The Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit organization committed to driving quality, safety, and transparency in the United States healthcare system, has released new Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades, which assigns A, B, C, D, and F letter grades to hospitals nationwide. King’s Daughters' Health was again one of the hospitals to receive an "A" for its commitment to reducing errors, infections, and accidents that can harm patients. It is the ninth consecutive "A" Grade awarded to KDH.

"We have incredible team members who are committed to providing exceptional care for every patient every day,” said Natalie Thornsberry, Director of Quality at King’s Daughters’ Health. “Another 'A' Grade from the Leapfrog Group validates their ongoing efforts. It truly is a remarkable achievement."

Developed under the guidance of a National Expert Panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to more than 2,600 U.S. Hospitals twice a year. The hospital Safety Grade's methodology is peer-reviewed and fully transparent, and the results are free to the public. For additional details, visit www.hospitalsafetygrade.org.
