An investigation led to his arrest

On August 17, 2021, Detective Sergeant Jim Blevins started an investigation of an alleged sex crime involving a child under the age of 17 and older than the age 14. After a thorough investigation, probable cause was developed to arrest the suspect, Ronald J. Brown (age 65 of North Vernon).

Brown was taken into custody and is currently being held in the Jennings County Jail with no bond on the preliminary charges of:

Rape Level 3 Felony

Sexual Misconduct with a Minor Level 4 Felony

Contributing Alcohol to a Minor Level 5 Felony
