(Jefferson County, Ind.) – As the coronavirus pandemic continues, there have been many concerns from residents about their safety when it comes to voting in this year's election.
Those voters who are not wanting to go out into public to vote in the June 2 primary elections but would still like to exercise their rights can do so safely through an Absentee Ballot.
If this is something that interests you, ballots can be obtained from the Voter Registration office at the Jefferson County Courthouse or online at indianavoters.com. It is also important to note that those voters who do choose to vote absentee for these elections do not have to give a reason why on the ballot.
The deadline for voters to request an ABS application is May 21.
Applications can be submitted by mail to the Jefferson County Courthouse Clerks Office. The office will also accept email applications, voters can email Carsha Strouse at carsha.strouse@jeffersoncounty.in.gov.
