Jefferson County Remain In Blue Advisory On County Metric Map

(Madison, Ind.) - Jefferson County will at a ‘BLUE” advisory this week when the Indiana Department of Health County Metric Dashboard map updates today, March 17, 2021. “BLUE” advisory means the county is seeing minimal community spread. This is our third week in a row to remain “BLUE"

“BLUE” advisory regulations per executive order 21-06:

Social gatherings or events of any kind, make take place with a limit of 250 individuals. 100% of a facility’s capacity may be permitted with a submitted safety plan approved by the Jefferson County Health Department. Attendees must be socially distanced and wear face coverings.

All business capacity must adhere to strict social distancing guidelines. All businesses are required to place clearly visible signage at their public and employee entrances notifying all that face coverings are required. Businesses should only admit those who wear face coverings properly (over nose and mouth) and practice social distancing.

Restaurants, bars, taverns, nightclubs, and other establishments providing in-person food and/or drink service must adhere to the following directives:

  • All patrons must remain seated while consuming food and/or drink or when otherwise remaining on the premises; and
  • While capacity limits are no longer based on a percentage of overall occupancy, seating must be arranged and maintained so that individuals, households, or parties are spaced at least six (6) feet apart from any other individual, household, or party

Community recreational sports leagues and tournaments may continue but attendance is limited to 250 individuals. 100% of the facility’s capacity may be permitted with a submitted safety plan approved by the Jefferson County Health Department (school may institute stricter regulations) All students and attendees must be socially distanced and wear face coverings.

K-12 extracurricular and co-curricular activities may continue but attendance is limited to 250 individuals. 100% of the facility’s capacity may be permitted with a submitted safety plan approved by the Jefferson County Health Department (school may institute stricter regulations) All students and attendees must be socially distanced and wear face coverings.

All general requirements are still in effect such as:

  • Mask wearing
  • Social distancing
  • Hand sanitizing/washing
