(Jefferson County, Ind.) – The Jefferson County Health Department announced today that the county has been experiencing a resurgence of COVID-19 cases.
As a consequence of this, the county has been moved from the blue category to a yellow advisory on the Indiana Department of Health county metric map. Last week, Governor Holcomb removed the mask mandate and has left the management of measures that need to be taken up to local health departments.

The Jefferson County Health Department would like to encourage and advise all Jefferson County residents and visitors to continue to be vigilant and to take responsibility for their safety and health and safety and health of those around them by continuing to mask up, social distance and hand wash/sanitize, avoid crowded venues.
