Jefferson Co Commissioners Decide On Funds

The Jefferson County Commissioners will be receiving $6.2 million dollars from the American Rescue Plan with half of the money arriving in the county later this year. The plans for the $3.1 million that will be arriving later this year which they will earmark for all of the county's fire departments including the City of Madison Fire Departments. Each department will receive $100,000 dollars to be used to buy equipment or other needs that the departments may need the money. The next step in the process will be to bring their plans in front of the Jefferson County Council for their approval.
