JCHD Taking Back Unwanted Prescription Drugs, Syringes

(Madison, Ind.) – On Saturday, October 24, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. the Jefferson County Health Department in partnership with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and King’s Daughters’ Hospital will be hosting a drug takeback day.

The purpose of this event is to give the public the opportunity a chance to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs and syringes.

You can take your pills and/or syringes for disposal at King’s Daughters’ Hospital Medical Office Building at 1373 East State Route 62, Madison.

This service is free with no questions asked.

Please remember you can also take used syringes to the Jefferson County Health Department, 715 Green Road, Madison, anytime during office hours, Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Unused/unwanted medications can be dropped off anytime at the City of Madison Police Department or at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office during regular administration office hours, Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
