J.T.M. Food Group Announces $100 Million Expansion

The expansion includes construction of a new 132,000-square-foot addition in Harrison.

(Harrison, Oh.) – J.T.M. Food Group is planning a $100 million production line expansion at its global headquarters in Harrison.

The project kicked off earlier this spring and includes the construction of a new 132,000-square-foot addition. The expansion is projected to be completed and fully operational in the first half of 2025.

The new production lines will help J.T.M. significantly increase production of products that contain less fat and sodium by leveraging a process that drains and rinses the excess fat from the cooked proteins before they are blended with a sauce.

This allows J.T.M. the ability to meet the growing demand for healthier, reduced fat versions of some of their most popular products including Taco Filling, Spaghetti Sause, Sloppy Joe, and Chili.

J.T.M. is also investing in new equipment and packaging that will allow them to offer their products in individual, portion-packed trays for the grab ‘n go and carry out crowd. They also plan on rolling out larger three to five pound ovenable and steamable trays of products like mac and cheese, rotini and meat sauce and sausage gravy.

“Every time J.T.M. decides to invest in our business and in our community, that investment pays off for our customers and employees,” said Brad Nelson, Executive Director of Marketing for J.T.M. Food Group. “We want to help solve our customers challenges and this latest expansion will give us the opportunity to make more of our scratch-quality, kettle-crafted culinary solutions like taco fillings, mac & cheese, sauces, sides, and dips, with a wider variety of health benefits and packaging options”.
