(Indianapolis, Ind) – The Indiana State Department of Health announced on Tuesday that an additional 4,819 Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
This brings the total number of Hoosiers to 505,017 thousand Hoosiers known to have COVID-19.
Locally, Jefferson County saw 15 new cases to total 2,122 residents known to have the virus with 32 deaths in county residents.

- Jennings County: 4 new cases, 1,679 total cases, 30 deaths (1 new)
- Ripley County: 19 new cases, 2,435 total cases, 40 deaths (0 new)
- Switzerland County: 13 new cases, 493 total cases, 5 deaths (0 new)
A total of 7,812 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 109 from the previous day.
As for our neighboring state of Kentucky, the Kentucky Department of Health has announced that there are a total of 261,492 cases with 2,594 total deaths.
2,990 new cases were reported today.
Carroll County has 517 residents known to have COVID-19 with 6 deaths. Trimble County has 369 cases of residents know to have the virus.
