(Scott County, Ind.) – On December 12, First Sergeant John Hartman, Detective Jacklyn Shofner, and Deputy Eric Balingit responded to a residence in Scott County on the allegations of inappropriate sexual contact with a minor child and teenager.
Deputies and Detective Shofner made contact with 18-year-old Jacob Smith after multiple interviews were conducted, further investigation led to his arrest.
Smith was arrested for sexual misconduct with a minor, child molest-sexual intercourse or other sexual conduct with a child under 14, dissemination of matter of harmful to a minor, and vicarious sexual gratification.
