(Jefferson County, Ind.) - The National Weather Service (NWS) offices that serve Kentucky, in conjunction with the Kentucky Emergency Management (KYEM), have rescheduled the Kentucky Statewide Tornado Drill.
This drill will be held simultaneously with the Indiana Statewide Tornado Drill on Tuesday, March 16 at 10:15 a.m.
For the Tornado Drill, NWS will be using a test Tornado Warning to activate the Emergency Alert System The Test code will now activate the Wireless Emergency Alert, but some residents may receive alerts or push notifications.
Citizen participation is encouraged. This is a great opportunity to review and practice your tornado safety plan, whether you are at home, school, or your workplace.
