(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Indiana schools get ready to grab your painting smocks and brushes because you are invited to participate in the 2020 Paint the Plow Campaign for the Indiana Department of Transportation.

This annual campaign aims to promote awareness of INDOT’s Winter Operations throughout the year.

All middle schools, high schools, and career technical schools are welcome to take part in this campaign.

Participating schools will be paired with a local crew to paint the snowplow blade.

The artwork can be seen in full service during the winter weather months, students are even encouraged to use original artwork to represent their school.

The blades may also be used at events within the school’s community to enhance public awareness, promote safety, and foster a greater appreciation for both INDOT and the school.

If you would like to participate, schools must fill out an application and wavier which can be found online under the Seymour District.

For completed applications and any further questions, you can email nagarrett@indot.in.gov.

For a full list of rules and information on the campaign, check out the INDOT Paint the Plow brochure.
