Indiana Continues To See a Rise In COVID-19 Cases

Jefferson County has 58 confirmed positive cases.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – It was announced today by the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) that an additional 281 Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at the ISDH, the CDC, and private labs.

This brings the total to 43,140 Hoosiers know to have the virus. 

Jefferson County’s total remains the same as yesterday with 58 confirmed cases and 1 confirmed death. As for the neighboring counties:

  • Ripley County: 113 cases, 7 deaths
  • Jennings County: 164 cases, 9 deaths
  • Scott County: 152 cases, 6 deaths
  • Clark County: 600 cases, 43 deaths.

Across the state, a total of 2,386 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19, an increase of 9 over the previous day.

Any Hoosier seeking COVID- testing can obtain it through one of the state OptumServe sites, regardless of whether they are high risk or have symptoms.
