Hydrant Flushing Scheduled For City of Scottsburg

(Scottsburg, Ind.) - Hydrant flushing for the City of Scottsburg will begin this week. 

Flushing will be taking place on May 6 and 7. Flushing hydrants help maintain the City's water clarity and quality by clearing any build that could be in the water mains. 

Residents may notice some water discoloration on these days, rust-colored water is safe, but may stain laundry. 

If possible it is suggested to hold off on washing clothes on these days.
