Good things are coming to Gallatin County, the region and Kentucky!

Governor Matt Bevin and dignitaries were in attendance in Sparta, KY to celebrate the addition of a new airport that will fill the aviation gap between Louisville and Cincinnati.

Back in July, The Federal Aviation Administration awarded a $9 million Airport Improvement Program discretionary grant for construction of the new Gallatin County airport,

Construction on the $26 million project will soon start and open for business in 2022.
