Governor Andy Beshear Declares State of Emergency

Kentucky state of emergency announced yesterday.

(State of Kentucky) - Yesterday Governor Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency for Kentucky. The National weather service confirmed three EF-1 tornadoes.

Damage reported in Anderson, Bath, Ballard, Bourbon, Boyd, Carter, Clark, Elliott, Fayette, Greenup, Kenton, Jefferson, Jessamine, Mercer, Montgomery, Nelson, Powell, Union and Woodford counties.

The Governor activated the state’s price gouging laws to avoid overpriced goods for the state while Kentuckians clean up and recover.

There have been no reported injuries. Power outages were at 31,650 at last check.
