Gov. Holcomb Signed New Law Allowing Citizens To Purchase Insulin Without a Prescription

This new law will make it easier for those who need insulin to receive it in emergency situations.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Governor Holcomb signed Senate Bill 255 into law yesterday.

This new law will allow individuals who need insulin to purchase it without needing a prescription.

The state implemented a law that would require a prescription for insulin to help patients avoid fraudulent medication in 2014. This new law will make it easier for those who need insulin to receive it in emergency situations.

When the bill came to the Senate floor it passed unanimously in January, and also passed the house floor in February, and was signed into law yesterday.
