Girls Inc. of Jefferson County Hosting Annual "She Knows Where She's Going" Event

Individual tickets are $30.

(Madison, Ind.) – Girls Inc. of Jefferson County will be honoring three strong, smart, and bold women this month as part of their 18th annual “She Knows Where She’s Going” event set for Tuesday, March 9.

This year the traditional luncheon has been put on pause, and the program and flower auction has been moved online. According to Girls Inc., the need to adapt has presented the organization with the unique opportunity to honor three women who, though no longer with us, have left a legacy that will continue to influence today’s community.

Ticket holders will be receiving an email on the day of the event with additional information, and a link to view the presentation, which features several members of Girls Inc., along with friends and family of those being honored.

In order to give more people the opportunity to participate in the flower auction, it has gone virtual as well. Descriptions of the arrangements, along with example photos from previous years will be posted on the Girls Inc. Facebook page prior to the event on Friday, March 5.

All bids can be placed by direct messaging the Facebook page, text messaging, or by leaving a voicemail at (502) 414-4548. Bids will be accepted until noon on Tuesday, March 9, with winning bidders being notified after the auction closes.

A ticket is not required to participate in the flower auction.

All proceeds will benefit local Girls Inc. programs. Girls Inc. offers after-school, outreach, and summer programming for girls ages 5 to 18. The organization offers a variety of classes from technology and homework assistance to cooking and economic literacy, with a focus on the core essential services of academic enrichment and support, healthy living, and life skills.

Individual tickets are $30. Those interested in purchasing tickets or helping to sponsor the event should contact executive director Susan Stahl by phone at (812) 265-5863 or via email at girlsincmadison@gmail.com. Additional donations are always welcome and can be made online at www.girlsincjc-in.org.
