FSSA Offers Additional Guidance to Hoosier Parents and Providers on Child Care Options

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration have offered additional guidance for parents of school-aged children and child care providers related to the coronavirus.

Families who are in need of help when it comes to finding or paying for care can contact a referral agency that will help connect parents with local child care options. They also provide referrals for support, the number to call for Southern Indiana is 812-423-4008.

When locating care, it is important that families choose licensed and regulated care for their children. If you would like to find a provider that is licensed or regulated you can call 1-800-299-1627.

The FSSA also posted frequently asked questions and answers as well as guidance on several matters related to COVID-19 for child care providers which you can find here. The FSSA encourages parents and child care providers to check back daily for updates.
