Fifteen Local Organizations Receive Funding from Indiana Arts Commission

Over $3.5 million was awarded statewide.

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) has awarded over $3.5 million to 338 organizations in 77 Indiana counties.

Locally, 15 organizations received funding, including the Ripley County Community Foundation to support Ripley Youth Outreach’s First Annual ‘Ripley County Film Fest’ through the Arts Project Support grant program.

“The Ripley County Community Foundation is incredibly grateful to the Indiana Arts Commission for their unwavering support of arts and cultural opportunities in rural communities,” stated Amy Streator, Executive Director. “This grant from the Arts Project Support program allows ‘Ripley Youth Outreach’ to bring the Ripley County Film Fest to life, fostering a celebration of creativity and connection for our residents. The Indiana Arts Commission's commitment to fostering a vibrant arts scene across the state is truly invaluable, and we're thrilled to be a part of it.”

Ripley County

  • Batesville Area Arts Council, $15,246.00
  • Gibson Theatre Inc., $7,427.00
  • Southeastern Indiana Dance, Inc., $9,278.00
  • Kids Discovery Factory, Inc., $4,000.00
  • Batesville Main Street, $2,000.00
  • Ripley County Community Foundation, $4,000.00

Switzerland County

  • Hayswood Theatre Group, Inc., $4,000.00
  • Vevay Main Street, $4,000.00
  • Historic Hoosier, Inc., $4,000.00

Fnding for the Indiana Arts Commission and its programs is provided by the Indiana General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. The Ripley County Community Foundation would like to express sincere gratitude to U.S. Senators Mike Braun and Todd Young, U.S. Representative Greg Pence, State Senator Jean Leising, and State Representative Alex Zimmerman for their unwavering support of the arts.
