Open letter from the Kent Volunteer Fire Company

KVFC will be at the fair one last night. This will be a bitter sweet time for us. We have had good times and bad times. We have been through many storms and some severe ones. Volunteers and extra help from friends & family, have put many long hours, days, and years at our booth. We have served many fish, hamburgers, cheese fries, and tenderloins to name a few. We had days that were longer than 12 hours at a time. We served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. KVFC got to know some of the men and women who operate the rides at the fair. We had mornings when they would come for that fresh coffee Sheryl fixed during the breakfast time. We have gained many many memories that we will take with us and treasure forever.

One last thing. KVFC would like to thank ALL of the community for your support throughout the years! You have put many smiles on our faces at the fair and we have gotten to know many of you. We have seen new faces each year and many faces that return every year. We can't Thank You enough for all the support you have shown us over the years! We would like to also thank all the others who volunteer to put the fair on for the community. This is a lot of hard work for everyone involved and for the youth. The youth works very hard on their projects to show. Thank You for all your projects over the years!

As we come to last day, we wish you all well. We have had many years in our booth, many memories, and made many improvements to it. We will continue to have our Spring and Fall Fish Fry and hope to see you there. ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!!!
