Early Morning Fire Destroys Shed And Contents

Yesterday morning around 6:30, the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of an unknown structure fire in the 3200 East block of Olean Road.

Upon arrival, a small wood storage shed for an outdoor furnace was found to be fully involved.

The fire was quickly extinguished with approximately 1000 gallons of water.

The shed and contents were a total loss and the outdoor furnace suffered significant damage to the controls and blower unit.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and there were no injuries

Versailles Fire Rescue was toned for automatic mutual aid however quickly disregarded.
