The downtown gateway coming off the Madison Milton bridge is one step closer to being controlled on both sides of the street by the City of Madison. During the Board of Public Works meeting last week. They gave approval for Madison Mayor Bob Courtney to purchase the old Bullock's River City Marathon located on the east side of the street. The building is currently owned by John and Libby Kinman and they have offered the building to the city for a price of $100,000. With the approval of the board Mayor Courtney can pursue the purchase. The city currenty owns all the property on the west side of Harrison St. This purchase will help beautify the entry into Madison from the bridge.
